covid-19 update

The entire team at Figueroa Optometry Center would like to say thank you again for your loyalty and support. We want to continue to bring you the service and convenience you need while prioritizing the health of you and our staff. Take peace of mind in knowing that every decision we make in these difficult times is with the perspective of safety first. 

We are making updates to our clinic and the way we serve you to help keep everyone healthy. These updates meet strict criteria for health care providers according to the State of California. Some of those updates include:
   - conducting health screenings for our employees
   - COVID-19 questionnaire for all patients

    - temperature checks for every person entering the office
   - providing protective equipment for doctors and staff
   - limiting the number of personnel and patients in the office to allow for              

       proper social distancing.
   - increasing cleaning and sanitization of all areas
   - cleaning all equipment and surfaces after each exam
   - cleaning all eyeglass frames after each patient encounter
   - offering curbside services for product pick-up

    - no extra cost for direct to home shipping for contact lens orders 

    - reducing the amount of patients that are scheduled per day

For patients who plan to enter our office, please follow these guidelines:

    - Upon arrival, please call us before entering the office.  All information will be 

       taken over the phone. We will let you know when you may enter.  This will 

       allow us to prepare for your needs and will help in minimizing close contact 

       with other patients.
   - You must wear a mask at all times during your visit. If you plan to wear 

       gloves, please wear a new pair of gloves before entering.
   - The front door will remain locked and entry will only be permitted by a staff   

      member.
   - Only the patient will be allowed to enter the office. A minor may be  

       accompanied by a single parent/guardian/caregiver. 
   - Be prepared for a screening process when you enter the office.

    - You will be asked to wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon entry. 

    -  Your temperature will be taken.  If fever is present, we will ask you to  

       reschedule

    -  You will be asked a few questions to determine your risk for COVID-19     

     exposure. 
   - Please bring your own pen, if possible. 

We understand that a lot of these guidelines may seem disruptive but please remember that we are enforcing them for your protection and the protection of our staff.   We will continue to monitor CDC guidelines and make changes as appropriate to ensure the safety of the entire Figueroa Optometry community.
